Membership
Friends membership is open to everyone.  If you love books and libraries, please consider joining the Friends.  Annual membership fees are $7.50 for an individual and $15 for a family.  Your membership entitles you to attend two members only preview book sale days and receive our newsletters and event announcements.  Your membership fees pay for production costs and postage.  The rest of the membership receipts are used directly by the Library for activities which would not be available without these funds.  You may purchase a life membership for a one time fee of $100. Volunteers
Friends volunteers help with book sales by sorting books as they are donated. Books are sorted for the twice yearly sales, Internet sales and the Library used book store. Book sales in the Ford Community room are held twice yearly in April and October for three days –Thursday is a members only preview day-Friday is open to everyone with books priced individually-Saturday most of the unsold books are bagged and sold for $2 per bag.  Members assist with these sales.  Other volunteer opportunities are listed on the membership application.

Book Sales
You may purchase books from the Friends of the Library at the spring and fall book sales held in April and October.  Call the Library at 541-440-4311 for dates and times or email Suzanne Hall hdwsuzanne@qwest.net.  You may also purchase specific titles at Amazon.com.  Please use the Amazon link on this page to do this and the Friends will be credited with an additional 15% commission on your purchase.  There is a used book sales area in the Library also.  Individual titles are available and there are bags of books for a single price.  Just drop your money in the box and enjoy.  Remember when you have enjoyed, re-donate the books back to the Friends.  Funds are given to the Library to purchase new books for your future enjoyment.

Meetings
Board meetings are held at noon on the third Wednesday of the months of January, March, May, July, September and November in the Library Board Room.  All meetings are open to all members.  The March meeting is considered the annual meeting and officers are elected at this meeting each year.  Board membership is available to any paid member.
